Anna Zhang

President

I have a bachelor degree in International Business from John Molson School of Business, Concordia University. I currently work as junior buyer at Birks Group, a fine jewelry company, overseeing their third party watch brands.  

It is with enthusiasm that I take on the role of President for the 2025-2026 term alongside brilliant colleagues. Under my leadership, confidence will be the guiding principle of my program, with three main pillars: professional confidence, cultural confidence, and organizational confidence. My goal is to build on the achievements of my predecessors and strengthen YCPA’s purpose as a lever for professional growth, by providing tools and resources to help its members develop.

Timothy Lan Chun Yang

Vice President

I graduated from the University of Toronto in human biology and obtained a master's degree from the University of Montreal in biomedical sciences. I work as a project manager at the Montreal General Hospital where I manage the continuing education program for all residents and surgeons specializing in trauma.
My goal is to inspire and support young Asian professionals and entrepreneurs by creating a strong sense of community and belonging within the YCPA community. I hope to bring a new and dynamic perspective by introducing more opportunities for connection through cultural events, professional opportunities and physical activities.

Xiao Wen Zhang

Vice President

I hold degrees in Civil Law and Common Law from the University of Montreal and was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2022. I currently practice corporate and commercial law at DS Lawyers, an international law firm.

Since joining YCPA, I’ve contributed to key initiatives such as organizing the Orchid Ball and establishing the YCPA Legal Clinic. These experiences have strengthened my dedication to empowering young Asian professionals of Montreal and fostering a strong, connected community.

As Vice President, my mission is to expand and innovate our platform, providing members with opportunities to connect, grow, and build meaningful relationships. Giving back to my community remains at the heart of my work, and I am committed to creating a vibrant, inclusive environment that inspires success and empowers future generations to thrive.

I am currently a Senior Associate in Audit at KPMG LLP. I graduated from McGill University with a bachelor degree in Joint Honours Economics and Accounting.

Having volunteered for YCPA since 2021, YCPA has been a witness at every step of my career growth. I wish for YCPA to become a harbour for future generations who are navigating through their professional career.

As a young professional who enjoys seeking challenges and involving myself in multiple initiatives, my goal for this mandate is to increase the visibility of this organization to the future young professionals while continuing to give back to my community.

Jonathan Chan Tam Chan

Treasurer

I obtained my bachelor's degree in Business Administration majoring in accounting at HEC Montréal and also obtained my chartered professional accountant (CPA) title in the summer of 2022. I currently work as a financial analyst at BNP Paribas.

Since 2022, I have been actively involved in several YCPA activities, because I firmly believe in the mission and values ​​of the organization. My mission is to help young Asian professionals break the bamboo ceiling while giving back to the Asian community in Montreal through innovative activities. For example, I would like to initiate Mandarin lessons for beginners. This will provide the opportunity to learn a new language, but also to build connections with the Chinese community in Montreal.

Thanks to my professional and personal journey, I have had the opportunity to meet several people living all over the world in order to learn about others. These meetings helped me develop my enabling skills such as open-mindedness, curiosity, empathy and proactivity: key elements to help each member reach their full potential.

I am a commercial real estate broker at PMML with a degree in Finance, specializing in industrial, commercial, and land development. Since joining YCPA, I’ve actively contributed by sponsoring and contributing in organizing the first YCPA Active initiative, as well as organizing key community events. As Director of Membership, my goal is to expand our membership base and increase YCPA's visibility within the community. I firmly believe that while we can go fast alone, we can go far together. This belief drives my commitment to building strong, supportive relationships within YCPA, ensuring we work together to achieve both personal and collective success.

I’m Lifeng (Liam) Li, and I’m privileged to serve as the director of finance for the 2025-2026 term. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University and currently work as a financial planner at RBC.

It was during my sophomore year that I attended my inaugural YCPA  event, an experience that left an indelible mark and ignited my desire to be an integral part  of this esteemed organization.
