Treasurer
I obtained my bachelor's degree in Business Administration majoring in accounting at HEC Montréal and also obtained my chartered professional accountant (CPA) title in the summer of 2022. I currently work as a financial analyst at BNP Paribas.
Since 2022, I have been actively involved in several YCPA activities, because I firmly believe in the mission and values of the organization. My mission is to help young Asian professionals break the bamboo ceiling while giving back to the Asian community in Montreal through innovative activities. For example, I would like to initiate Mandarin lessons for beginners. This will provide the opportunity to learn a new language, but also to build connections with the Chinese community in Montreal.
I contributed to the organization of the Tax Clinic in 2024 and the Orchid Ball twice. These high-profile moments confirmed my desire to contribute more to the board of directors.
These reasons motivated me to present my candidacy for the Treasurer for the 2025-2026 term. My rigor and my time management are excellent strengths for this position. As part of my end of month work at BNP Paribas, I completed multiple reconciliations, ensuring high quality and finishing before strict deadlines imposed by the regulator.
Also, being a member of the YCPA board of directors requires the demonstration of enabling skills such as open-mindedness, curiosity, empathy and proactivity to create lasting relationships with members as well as the YCPA's business partners. community. Throughout my professional and personal journey, I have had the opportunity to meet several people living all over the world. This allowed me to learn about others as well as my personal perception. My participation in the 24h Tremblant made me realize the importance of community involvement and brings a feeling of self-accomplishment. In addition, I am able to unite teams through the organization of a colleague's birthday. This values the importance of each individual within the team.
I am confident this opportunity will allow me to grow professionally and personally while serving the Asian community in Montreal.
